Issaquah, Washington native Sophie, 10, admires Susan B. Anthony, Madeline Albright and Queen Elizabeth for their accomplishments as influential women in the world. She believes that global warming is a huge problem that needs to be addressed right away. A young girl with a lot of dreams, she believes in fighting to prevent global warming from worsening. She also thinks that George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are good leaders, and a great leader is defined as someone who isn't vain.
Sophie is one of 40 kids sent to the barren Bonanza City, New Mexico on CBS' Kid Nation. The reality series follows the kids aged 8 to 15 as they try to establish their own town through engaging in mature activities concerning labor and governance. The town council, which is held every three days, will give the kids a chance to discuss problems and award a worthy kid with a gold star equivalent to $20,000.
