Russell Swan is one of the twenty castaways of Survivor: Samoa. The 42-year-old lives in Glendale, Philadelphia, where he works as an attorney against entities who violate environmental laws. It’s a far cry from his origins, when his father getting laid off from a local steel mill led to a divorce, and him having to fend for himself. Married and with a five-year-old daughter, he spends his off time watching independent films and chatting with people.

Having represented numerous causes throughout his career, he cannot stand overgeneralizations of certain people. Despite that, he aims to do anything and everything to win the game, even if it means having to cut off his hair—that’s how his passion at work, he thinks, will translate to passion in the game.
