Born on October 16, 1982 in Ferntree Gully, Melbourne, Pippa Black is an Australian actress who is best known as Elle Robinson in the iconic Network Ten soap opera Neighbours. She now serves as Jessica Gower's replacement in the NBC comedy series Outsourced, playing Tonya, an athletic, statuesque woman who runs a customer service center in India.
Prior to becoming an actress, Black attended high school at Beaconhills College, studied in Animal Technology and even landed a job as a vet nurse. She then took up acting classes as an attempt to build her confidence but eventually decided to pursue a career on acting.
Black's credits include Gemma Lee's short film The Wake, the independent film Emergence, and the drama City Homicide.
An avid vegetarian, Black joined an ad campaign for PETA Asia Pacific in 2007 in which she donned a gown made entirely of lettuce leaves.
