Born on May 5, 1957 in Manchester, England, Peter Howitt is an actor best known for his role as Joey Boswell on the British television series Bread. He is also known for a string of movie credits, including thriller AntiTrust in 2001, James Bond parody Johnny English in 2003, romantic comedy Laws of Attraction in 2004, and drama Dangerous Parking in 2008. He wrote and directed his first film, the romantic comedy Sliding Doors starring Gwyneth Paltrow in 1998. In 2009, Howitt was cast as BBC journalist Trevor Williams on the ABC space-themed drama Defying Gravity.
