Mikey Torres and Chad Phillips are one of eight couples competing in NBC’s The Chopping Block.
Hailing from Washington, D.C., Mikey and Chad are good friends who met each other in culinary school. Mikey received his AA in Culinary Arts from the Art Institute of Washington in 2007 while Chad received his Culinary Arts Degree from the Art Institute of Washington in 2008. Of the two, Mikey is the more skilled one, having gained catering experience and serving at many restaurants. He is also an executive chef at Gifford’s Ice Cream and Candy Company.
