Biography

Michael Socha is most famous for his roles on TV series like This Is England '86, This Is England '88 and Being Human, as well movies like This Is England and Summer. He went to St Benedict Catholic School, where he often rebelled and skipped school. He auditioned for the lead role in a school play at the age of 11 but to no avail. The following year, he auditioned in a play being cast by the Chellaston Youth Players in attempt to prove his teachers wrong and prove that he has what it takes to pursue acting. After landing the lead role in the play, he acted in several productions.

Socha tried to work in a manufacturing factory though he quit since he didn't enjoy it. He then attended Burton College but left school to work at another factory. He also worked at a car wash.

In 2006, Socha finally got his big break as he was cast in the movie This Is England. This was followed by more movie gigs, including Lady Margaret, Better Things, Summer , Public Sex and Jade. In 2008, he was cast on the TV series Casualty as Ryan Malone though he only appeared in six episodes. At present, he stars on the ABC spin-off series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.
