Young females will probably remember Michael McMillian as the sweet and endearing Henry Gibson from What I Like About You, but he has since moved on to more mature and challenging television and film roles. McMillian, who is from Olathe, Kansas, has made quite a mark, with guest appearances on the hit shows
Veronica Mars , 8 Simple Rules,
Without a Trace and Big Love. But it is McMillian’s portrayal of Dorian Lagatos on the award-winning film Dorian Blues that stands as the true testament to his versality and openness.
He then joined the cast of the TNT drama, Saved. He played Harper Sims, a new EMT who is eager to please his very serious partner/mentor Angela. He desperately wants to learn the ropes, but his lack of confidence and uncertainty causes him to hesitate and Angela to lose what very little patience she has with him. Being a devout Mormon, he makes it a point to pray silently each time. He has a good heart and only wants to be accepted by the other paramedics.
He recently joined the cast of the acclaimed HBO series True Blood, as Rev. Steve Newlin, the head of the anti-vampire congregation Fellowship of the Sun.
