Michael Mando initially studied many fields, including International Relations at the University of Montreal, before taking up performing arts at The Dome Theatre Program in Dawson College in 2004. Though he had no prior formal training, he landed the lead role in at least five productions of the program and graduated with flying colors in 2007.

On screen Mando first appeared on the TV series Flashpoint in 2009. He then landed roles on shows like The Last Templar, Web of Lies, The Border, Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures, The Bridge, Lost Girl, The Pregnancy Project, Les Bleus de Ramville and The Far Cry Experience, where he famously played Vaas, a character on the video game Far Cry 3 which he also provides the voice. In 2013, he became part of the cast of the TV series Orphan Black. In 2015, he joined AMC's Better Call Saul as a series regular.
