Biography

Michael Badalucco is an Emmy Award-winning American movie and television actor who was born on December 20, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York. The son of a homemaker and a movie set carpenter, he was said to have been shy as a child, yet was also active in school theater productions. After attending the State University of New York, he entered the entertainment industry by working as a prop master for movies based in the Big Apple. He later went on to act in a number of feature films, among them Raging Bull, Sleepless in Seattle, and Summer of Sam. He has also appeared in television series such as Law and Order , The Practice, and Joan of Arcadia.

Jimmy Berluti is played by Michael Badalucco in the Emmy Award-winning legal drama series The Practice. He is an associate and later a partner of the firm headed by Bobby Donnell. Raised by in a working-class background with an Italian-American heritage, he is a Catholic Christian whose beliefs often cause ethical problems in his line of work. He is often at odds with his own conscience in trying to choose the correct path, and also suffers from an addiction to gambling.
