Television personality Melissa Rivers was born on January 20, 1968. Born Melissa Warburg Rosenberg, she is the only child of comedian Joan Rivers, and producer Edgar Rosenberg, who committed suicide in 1987. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989, and initially began working behind the scenes. She was initially known for her work as a producer of numerous specials for E!, some of which she also hosted.
Rivers, however, is best known for her work on many red carpet specials for E!, and later, for the TV Guide Channel. Working alongside her mother, she became known for her acerbic wit and interviews with numerous personalities. She was also an actress at one point, appearing in shows such as Beverly Hills 90210 and The L Word. She later appeared in the second season of The Celebrity Apprentice, alongside her mother. While she was eliminated because she wasn't able to raise enough money during the task, her mother went on to win the title.
- She married John Endicott, a horse breeder, on December 12, 1998. They have a son named Edgar Cooper Endicott.
