American child actor Maxwell Perry Cotton was born on May 7, 2000 in San Diego, California. He started acting at the age of six, later becoming known for playing Cooper Whedon in ABC's Brothers and Sisters. That same year, he was seen in the TV movie called Welcome to the Jungle Gym. Later on, he made his film debut as the titular character in A Dennis the Menace Christmas. Other credits of his include the movies Dandelion Dust, Radio Free Albermuth and Class.
