"The Poet" Matt is originally from Little Elm, Texas. A student and a writer in Dallas, Texas, he became known as a contestant on Beauty and the Geek 5. In high school, he was a band drum major, saxophonist and worked in theatre, in addition to graduating Summa Cum Laude. He’s also legally blind, but that didn’t stop him from pursuing a degree in English from Southern Methodist University. He finished third on season 5, and has since worked as a very successful blogger for the Dallas TV Examiner. He also published a book of poetry called Storms of Change and has worked on a film called “The World’s Strongest Man.”
