Marisa DeMato became known as "The Politico" during her time on The Apprentice. The Florida-based attorney grew up in Long Island, NY and Wellington, FL. She attended Florida Atlantic University where she earned a B.A. in political science, and then earned her law degree at the University of Baltimore School of Law. She then worked for a prominent law firm and specialized in securities fraud, consumer fraud and anti-trust litigation, and litigates multi-million dollar class action lawsuits from corporate fraud.
She later became a contestant of The Apprentice Season 6, where she claimed, "I should be the next Apprentice because my legal and political background have enabled me to take on many challenges and achieve success, and these experiences will allow me to showcase my leadership ability in addition to my strong work ethic." She was fired in the fourth episode of the show for being the weakest link in the team. She then returned to work for the firm Lerach, Coughlin, Stoia, Geller, Rudman & Robbins, LLP.
