Louis Ramey has always thought that he is one funny guy ever since he was a kid. His first solo gig was at a jazz club in Atlanta. One of his off experiences as a comic was when he offered to buy a woman a shot in order to keep her from screaming, only to realize that she is pregnant and worse, already drunk. His influences in stand-up comedy are Chris Rock, Greg Rogell, Franklin Ajay, Bob Newhart, Carlin, Marsha Warfield, Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby. He also enjoys watching I Spy, Cheers, M*A*S*H, WKRP, News Radio and The Office. As for movies, he considers Old School, Wedding Crashers, The 40-year-old Virgin, There’s Something About Mary, and Shrek as the highest peak of American comedy. As for joining the Last Comic Standing, Louis Ramey hopes to gain more opportunities through the show. He would like to perform in theaters and travel the whole world and perform in front of the people of different races.
Louis Ramey is one of the finalists of the Last Comic Standing, a reality talent show on NBC searching for the funniest and wackiest stand-up comedian in the country. The winner shall receive a contract with NBC Universal and a Bravo Special.
