Jeff Dye discovered his talent in making people laugh back when he was in first grade. He would always say something out loud for everything his teacher said, which made his classmates laugh hilariously. That has always been the case for him since then. People would start laughing whenever he says something. Though he can’t remember where exactly his first gig happened, he was pretty sure that it was in a bar and he wasn’t prepared for it. His worst nightmare as a comic would be to get up on the stage, say his piece and not one people would even listen.
Jeff Dye names Harland Williams, Daniel Tosh, Kermit Apio, and Dave Chapelle as his heroes in stand-up comedy. His favorite television shows are The Office, Arrested Development and 30 Rock. And for movies, he says that he’s a big fan of anything funny. Jeff Dye hopes that joining the Last Comic Standing would make people love him for who he is and for what he does.
Jeff Dye became known for being one of the finalists of the Last Comic Standing, a reality talent show on NBC searching for the funniest and wackiest stand-up comedian in the country. The winner shall receive a contract with NBC Universal and a Bravo Special. He lasted until the finals, but was later eliminated. He has since continued his career in stand-up, and has been seen on Comedy Central Presents.
