Actor and writer Jake M. Johnson was born in Chicago. He got his acting training at Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and soon launched his career. He moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and received numerous roles since. He was first seen in the TV movie Chennel 101, but he eventually got bigger parts. In 2007, he played Jake on Derek and Simon: The Show. He appeared as a guest star on series like The Unit, Lie to Me, Curb Your Enthusiasm and FlashForward. He then got cast on movies like Redbelt, Spilt Milk, and 2010’s Get Him to the Greek. He later booked a role as Eli in No Strings Attached, before landing the part of Nick on the FOX comedy New Girl in 2011.
