Gillian Jacobs began acting early in her life, initially making a name for herself at the Pittsburgh Public Theater, before moving to New York to study at Juilliard School. She then began performing in several off-Broadway productions, before joining the cast of the short-lived NBC series The Book of Daniel.
Jacobs has since appeared in several independent films -- her work in the 2010 flick NoNAMES earned her a Jury Award at that year's Phoenix Film Festival -- and made guest appearances in shows such as Fringe, Royal Pains and the pilot episode of The Good Wife. In 2009, she joined the cast of the NBC comedy Community, appearing as Britta Perry.
