Fourteen-year-old Eric from Morristown, New Jersey believes that conflict can be resolved without violence and that Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt are the best presidents of the United States. He believes that President George W. Bush hasn't been doing a great job in governing the country and his international affairs and that global warming and AIDS are a few of the world's biggest problems today.
Eric joins CBS' Kid Nation to help rebuild Bonanza City, New Mexico into a working society with an economy and government system. The reality show features 40 kids aged 8 to 15 in their adventure filled with trials and triumphs, as they strive to win gold stars worth $20,000 along the way. The children's endurance will be tested, and by the end of forty days, viewers can judge whether or not they were able to establish an equally competitive society like that of the real world.
