Biography

Dominic Bowden appears as the host of the Fox television network’s competitive reality TV series American Band. He is a television presenter from New Zealand who was born on December 15, 1977. Bowden has become a well-known face on New Zealand TV for more than half of the past decade, and hosts his own national radio show. He has interviewed various celebrities such as Keanu Reeves, Bon Jovi, Will Smith, and the band Coldplay. Bowden has also appeared on various magazine covers. His most famous role is as the host of New Zealand Idol, the local equivalent of the original British competitive reality television series Pop Idol.

New Zealand Idol’s first grand finale captured 69% of the entire nation’s viewing audience, securing Bowden’s status as a well-recognized household name for kiwi TV. Other television productions that Bowden has appeared in are the New Zealand Fashion Awards, Girlfriend Model Search, and Celebrity Treasure Island. He also had a role in the 2006 feature film The Devil Dared Me To. And apart from appearing onscreen, Bowden emcees and presents his own live stage show named Stars in Whose Eyes?
