Actor Dean Cain became a household name for playing Clark Kent/Superman in the television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Although he was offered athletic scholarships to 17 universities after graduating high school, he opted to attend Princeton University, where he even dated actress Brooke Shields. After earning a BA degree in History, he signed on as a free agent with NFL team the Buffalo Bills but eventually suffered a knee injury which prevented him from further pursuing a career in sports. He then focused on doing commercials and landing roles on the small screen. His biggest break came in 1993 as he was cast in the lead role of Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. The show lasted for four seasons.
Cain also appeared in films like Flight of Fancy, No Alibi, The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy, Rat Race, Best Men, Out of Time, Maneater and Max Havoc: Ring of Fire, just to name a few. In 2012, he joined the cast of the NBC competitive reality series Stars Earn Stripes.
