Biography

American stand-up comedian Dante became known as one of the top 10 finalists competing in the fifth season of the NBC reality talent show Last Comic Standing. Upon finding out that he was included in the final lineup, he stated, "I felt like my whole life was about to change. I could do more for my family and my life. People get made fun of for thanking God at awards shows, but I think that's the first thing I did." After receiving an acting scholarship at U.S.I.U., he became friends with Academy Award-winning comedian and performer Jamie Foxx, even driving Foxx at one point to his first gig at the Comedy Store in La Jolla.

Dante has won a number of comedy awards, among them the grand prize on America’s Funniest People as well as at the BET Comedy Awards. He speaks of himself as a highly versatile performer capable of entertaining a variety of crowds, ranging from the urban set to a Latino audience to a Beverly Hills country club show. While he resides in Los Angeles, he travels across the country and worldwide to perform at places such as The Improv, The Laugh Factory, and at U.S. military bases in support of the troops. He has also opened for other performing legends such as Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, BB King, and Santana.
