Danny Pudi took up degrees in communication and theatre at Marquette University. He attended under a Chris Farley scholarship, enabling him to perform at an improv comedy event. After graduating in 2001, he performed in summer stock theater productions before joining the Second City improv group in Chicago.
Pudi moved to Los Angeles in 2005 and began attending auditions. He has appeared in several short films, and notably had recurring roles in Gilmore Girls and Greek. In 2009, he joined the cast of the NBC comedy Community, playing film student Abed Nadir.
Pudi is married to Bridget Snowalter, who he met while studying at Marquette.
