Biography

Corbin Bleu Reivers, born on February 21, 1989 in Brooklyn, New York, is the son of actor David Reivers. At a young age, he followed his father's footsteps and began his career by modeling before he ventured into acting. In 1996, his family moved to Los Angeles, providing him with more opportunities to hone his acting skills. He began working on a recurring role in the TV series High Incident and as a guest star on ER . He also worked on minor roles in the films Soldier, Family Tree, Mystery Men and Galaxy Quest. In 2004, he finally landed the lead role in the film, Catch That Kid, which led him to accept a role in Flight 29 Down, a drama series. Two years later, Bleu landed a role in the highly successful made-for-TV film by Disney, High School Musical. He was then given his own film, Jump In!, where he starred opposite actress and singer Keke Palmer and his father.

Bleu's other television credits include a starring role on the series Flight 29 Down, and guest-starring roles on Hannah Montana, The Amanda Show, Cover Me and Malcolm & Eddie.

Aside from acting, Bleu is a prolific singer who released his solo album in 2007 titled Another Side, which included the carrier single, “Push It To the Limit.”

In 2008, he decided to reprise his role in the feature film installment of High School Musical, titled High School Musical 3: Senior Year. He has also appeared on the show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Mother Goose Parade and has signed on for a role in 2008’s Free Style. In 2009, he was cast as up-and-coming model Isaac Taylor in The CW's drama The Beautiful Life. The series failed to take off and he has since appeared on shows like The Good Wife and the TV movie Flight 29 Down: The Hotel Tango.

Quotes

"I'm a very outgoing person. I'm always happy, I'm one of those people who are always smiling. If somebody described me to somebody else, they'd say the kid with the curly hair with the big smile on his face. I get along with everybody."

"I mean, to see somebody else when they put so much work into whatever they do... that inspires me. My dad, he does that very much so. An actor that I really look up to is Johnny Depp. The amount of work that he puts into his stuff, he is such an amazing actor I think!"

"You name a show business faux pas and it has happened to me - from pants with the zipper down on the red carpet to having hair that looked like I put my finger in a light socket. It's kinda like that naturally so when it gets freaky looking, it gets really freaky!"
