Born March 7, 1965 to Peter and Bronwyn Daddo, Cameron Peter Daddo is an Australian actor, musician and television host. He was born in Melbourne, Australia and is the younger brother of Belinda and the older brother of Andrew, Jamie and Lochie, making him the second among five children. His first modeling gig happened when he was only 18 months for a calendar shoot. He spent a couple of years in the United States for his education and went back to Australia to finish school. Daddo was discovered when he wanted to make a phone call from a modeling agency, but instead went home with a modeling contact. He then traveled all over the world and participated in the television show Star Search. He also hosted Off the Dish, Cameron Daddo Show, Perfect Match, and later on took on his first acting role in The Heroes. Soon he starred in musicals like Big River, I Hate Hamlet and Love Letters, and won an Australian People's Choice Award for Best Actor in a dramatic series in 1990 for his role in Bony. A year later he married Alison Brahe and moved to the U.S. in 1992. Following this was a string of television movies, appearances and hostings.
Cameron Daddo hosts the reality-based series Pirate Master. Produced by Emmy award winning producer Mark Burnett, Pirate Master is a reality show featuring 16 modern-day pirates on a sea adventure traveling around the Carribean Island of Dominica. The goal is to search and find the hidden treasure worth $1 million. Like The Amazing Race
, the pirates are given clues to search the missing treasure. Daddo serves as host and presides over the Pirate's Court.
