Brianna Varela Biography:
Brianna Varela, who was born on October 29, `1983 in Olympia, Washington, started learning jazz, tap and ballet at three years old. When she was 10 years old, her family moved to Edmonds, where she studied at Chase Lake Elementary and Edmonds Woodway High School, where she was a member of the dance team and a Christian youth organization called, Young Life. After she graduated, she headed to San Diego, California, and after exploring her interest in cosmetics, returned to her hometown and took on a job as a make-up artist at a high-end department store. To keep herself in shape, Varela runs and bikes regularly. She enjoys watching basketball, dancing, writing, reading and hiking. The idea of heights excite her, which is why she wouldn't mind it if she were asked to jump off a waterfall.
As a contestant on Survivor: Guatemala, Varela believed that her wit and cunning would give her an edge of over the other players of the game. She also felt that her tribe would be impressed with her innovative cooking skills and the capacity to utilize a Hawaiian sling. However, Varela didn't get to show much of her capabilities, as she was the third person to be voted off the island. Her fellow Yaxha tribe members cast their votes for her because she did poorly on the challenges.
