Bradley Whitford is an actor who is best known for his role as Deputy White House Chief of Staff Josh Lyman on The West Wing. Prior to his breakthrough role, however, he has appeared on numerous movies, including Dead as a Doorman, Adventures in Babysitting, Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise, Young Guns II, Scent of a Woman and Presumed Innocent.
Born on October 10, 1959, Whitford studied at Madison East High School before pursuing English and Theater at Wesleyan University. Additionally, he also attended The Juilliard School.
In 1995, Whitford was cast as antagonist Eric Gordon in the comedy Billy Madison, alongside Adam Sandler. This led to other projects like My Fellow Americans, Masterminds and recurring roles on The Secret Lives of Men, Malcolm in the Middle and ER. After his eight-year stint on The West Wing, where he earned an Emmy Award, he returned to the small screen as Danny Tripp on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. The series was canceled due to poor ratings though Whitford was eventually cast on yet another TV series, The Good Guys, where he plays lead character Dan Stark.
