Biography

American actor and director Brad William Henke was born on April 10, 1971 in Columbus, Nebraska. Henke has gained considerable success in front and behind the camera. As an actor, Henke has worked in a variety of television shows such as Showtime’s Going to California and Dexter. Some of his less known appearances include those during the earlier part of his career. He was seen on Chicago Hope, Silk Stalkings, two episodes of Nash Bridges, and a 1998 episode of ER. His other roles include those in Snoops and The Michael Richards Show, but he started to gain fame for his performances in Nikki, Crossing Jordan, and Judging Amy.

Brad William Henke also became popular for his portrayals on films. He was cast in the movie Me and You and Everyone We Know in 2005, playing Andrew alongside John Hawkes, Miranda July, Brandon Ratcliff, and Miles Thompson. Henke was also seen on North Country, World Trade Center, Sherrybaby, Hollywoodland, and the independent feature films The Zodiac, and One Way to Valhalla. He also became known for playing Diane Lane’s gay best friend in the romantic comedy Must Love Dogs. He later became Jeff Bridges’ co-star in the independent comedy The Amateurs, as well as taking on the lead role in the drama Around Jane. Henke is also known for his return to the small screen, playing the regular character Owen Rowan on the ABC television drama series October Road. In 2008, he was cast as Denny in the film adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk’s novel Choke. Henke’s other credits include a role in an episode of Law & Order, the sci-fi thriller Altered, and the crime drama The Assassination of Richard Nixon, starring Sean Penn, Naomi Watts, Don Cheadle and Jack Thompson. Henke has also worked with Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron on the film In the Valley of Elah.
