With a fondness for anything neon, Blayne Walsh tried to make his way into the fashion industry the minute he stepped out of high school. He moved from Yakima, Washington to attend the Art Institute of Seattle. Some of his favorite designers are John Galliano, Yohji Yamaoto and Diesel.
Upon his graduation from ASI, Blayne Walsh was approached by Seattle Seahawks’ running back Shaun Alexander. He began working on Alexander’s athletic clothing line, and earned a name for his creations. He continued to build up his reputation by selling his creations in local boutiques. He also threw a number of fashion shows to pursue a career, which led him to being cast in Project Runway. He was eliminated on episode 9 of the show. He was also voted “Seattle’s Most Stylish Male” by a panel of judges.
