Adam Scott is an American actor who was born on April 3, 1973 in Santa Cruz, California. After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he went on to work in a number of films and television series. Among the shows he's acted in are
Law and Order ,
Veronica Mars , and
CSI: Miami . He has also had roles in movies such as
Knocked Up,
Monster-in-Law, and
The Aviator.
Adam Scott is best known for appearing as a member of the cast in the HBO television drama series
Tell Me You Love Me. His character is that of Palek, a man in his mid-30s who is married to Carolyn, and they both desperately want to have children. But despite their best efforts together, Carolyn is unable to conceive, and it begins to put a strain on their relationship. The two of them seek help and advice from sexual health guru and relationship therapist May Foster, who tries to help them come to terms with their inability to have children.
Scott is also known for playing a role alongside Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in the 2008 comedy film
Step Brothers. But his early career was marked by small roles such as those in
Cityscrapes: Los Angeles,
Dead at 21,
Out of Order, and
ER. From 1994 to 1995, he became known for portraying the character Griffin ‘Griff’ Hawkins in
Boy Meets World. He then took on the role of Sydney Schneider in
Murder One, before appearing on an episode of
NYPD Blue. He was cast in a number of films during the late 1990s, some of them being

Glory Days and Six Feet Under, as well as films like Ronnie and High Crimes. He was also seen in /i>The Great Buck Howard, and The Vicious Kind, before he signed on for roles in Trust Me and Party Down.
