Where'd everybody go from last season that posted here with their comments? I just want to say that I think this season has been great! I wonder if it's because of the dancers or because Mia Michaels is not judging? :P

I think there are two reasons and the main reason is NO MORE MIA MICHAELS. The other reason may be that the dancers are all good but there hasn't been one that really stands out, like a Alex Wong who was spectacular!

Well, what happened to Alex? He was suppose to come back this season, and skip the auditions, and jump right into the top 20. I was looking for him, too! Or did I miss something about him not coming back? Maybe he found something bigger and better?

Alex was going to come back as a season 8 all-star, but he auditioned for something else and was doing the same step when he got that injury from last year. He snaped his tendon AGAIN on his other leg. So now he has about another year of recovering. Hope he can make it to be an all-star 4 at least one season.

I used to enjoy the show, but there's no question that the show in very slanted in who wins, who's eliminated, and who gets picked in the first place. In picking participants, the whole organization is too worried about diversity, and they eliminate too many good dancers who should be on there. The judging purposfully influences audience selections, and the whole idea of the way voting is carried out influences selections, as well. It's time to switch to a one-vote system (why everyone should have 10 votes is beyond me. I also think that the votes should involve who the viewer thinks should be eliminated from the show, not who gets saved. If this is done, maybe people can vote for two. I think this should be the way to do it for all of the call-in votes on all shows. This is very political, as it will eliminate a lot of revenue for the phone companies, and who doesn't think they influence how the calls are made? I've started watching the "So Do You Think You Can Dance" episodes fro Canada, and the dancers are FAR better, with a better selection process (some come back each year until they are considered as being ready), and the judges are much better, are far less vicious, and really leave it up to the audience to decide who IT really likes, without all of the negative influence from the judges, who, in this location, do not seem to have ulterior motives. Whoever wins, wins.After watching this show, I've given up on an inferior production here. Time for Nigel to step back.

Well, I partly agree with you. I disagree with what you said about the judges influencing votes. They are there to critique. It's their job. If they didn't tell them what they need to improve on, they will never "step it up" per se. So I think they are right in doing so. However, I do agree about how many times you can vote. They do need to cut back on that, because it can be done unfairly. People vote for the worse dancer just to "be funny" or as a prank, etc. They should limit the calls to maybe just two. And as far as the judges being nice in Canada, I don't find our judges mean now that Mia is gone. They are critiquing in a nice way, which is the way it should be done. I have a feeling this is why Mia is finally gone. She needs to keep her specialty in choreography...NOT judging! Let's hope she's off the show for good, and not just on a hiatus. She was horribly mean, and maybe Fox finally saw it, and got rid of her.

Zella, I couldn't believe it when Nigel told us what happened to Alex! I can't believe he hurt his leg AGAIN, and in the exact same way in the OTHER leg! I hope this doesn't halt his dancing career if he's susceptible to pulling his legs to the point of having to have surgery to correct it, and putting him out of commission for a year each time! Poor guy! Such a HUGE talent, and have this happen to him! I sure do hope we can finally see him again on SYTYCD!

Yeah, poor Alex, it was such a tragedy when it happened last year, but this, this is beyond worse. He just recovered and is now wasting another year of his magnificent dancing career. I feel so bad for him.
