So this morning I was flipping through channels on my TV, and I stopped to watch the end of a kids show on Nickelodeon. The show was entitled "Fresh Beat Band", with the episode entitled "Freeze Dance". It was a repeat from earlier this year. I was watching the final dance of the show, when the camera started panning around to all the back-up dancers. I was shocked to see that one of them was no doubt Legacy from SYTYCD, season 6. I had to record the episode and rewind and pause to make sure it was him, and it most definitely was Legacy. I watch SYTYCD religiously, and the show made it very clear that Legacy was a Bboy with no formal training and that he had never worked professionally in dance, yet there he was. He was performing a choreographed number on a show that had have been filmed in either late 2008 to early 2009. This now makes me wonder if SYTYCD is aware of this, and wether the show is placing dancers in the top 20 with fake bios, in order to imp

This is nothing new. A top 2 dancer from 2 years ago had been a soloist with the NYC Ballet or American Ballet Theatre, an owner of a popular dance magazine called "Move" that regularly featured top judge Mia Michaels as a columnist

Top 2 dancer, Danny Tidwell, was a soloist with NYC Ballet or American Ballet Theater and owner of a dance magazine called " Movement" which regularly used top judge Mia Michael's as a columnist. The very first winner had already worked for dance convention "Jump" which is strongly associated with top judge Dan Karady. A contestant named Lauren was Tice Diorio's assisstant on the show the year before she tried out. A similar situation to the last one mentioned happened on the Cdn. show this year with a dancer being a choreographer's assistant the previous year. None of this is news to anyone who closely follows dance. It is in reality a very small professional world.

So what else is new. Oh yes. If you recall the very first year they showed some dancers getting annoyed at the revelation that Blake Mcgrath had just been featured on the front of a major dance magazine as the next big thing, already a teacher at a top LA studio and must have been doing some leg work professionally to get a Green Card to work in the US as he is a Cdn.

Actually, the Fresh Beat Band uses the same dance footage at the end of EVERY SHOW so if it's him he will be appearing in every show. They only add in a little piece in between the song to relate to the current episode but it's the same routine every show. It DOES look like him but the show doesn't credit the dancers. Look for him in the orange shirt mostly sitting way in the back at a table then near the end of the song he's on the far right.

Speaking of the Fresh Beat Band and SYTYCD dancers, how about their song "Freeze Dance"? If that's not Mark Kanemura in a light colored shirt dancing in the background, I need to check my contact prescription!

Yes my daughter watches "The Fresh Beat Band" everyday and I myself have not missed an epiosed of "So You Think You Can Dance" not only is Legacy and Mark on the TV show "The Fresh Beat Band" so is Katee from season 4 in the epiosed "Quack Shoes" she is in a red shirt and is in a few shots. I have not yet seen anyone else in any of the other shows but...I did think maybe Josh season 4 winner was in the epiosed "Quack Shoes" and Katherin season 6 in the top 8 as of now is in a epoised "Bounce in the House" but i dont actually think it is them.
