Time spent looking at dissected bodies and listening to Ducky's rambling about issues that often bear little relationship to the plot in question is equal to what my era was burdened with,namely,car/horse chases used to simply fill time...the only difference being the mostly inane stuff offered by the egocentric pathologist and his equally boring assistant fail [in my opinion that is]to capture the audience's attention.

im not a big fan of ducky my self but still without ducky and palmer it wouldnt b the same. The show is great the way it is!

The cast works well together....ALL of them!! They are a "family" that should NOT be altered!

I love Ducky! He is Gibbs' anchor. He's the one all feel comfortable going to with deeper problems. His rambling and getting lost is like a lot of people I've met. The body dissections are less gory than on a lot of similar shows. We need the autopsy info for the case to go forward and I like it presented in Ducky's manner. Otherwise, it'd be done on the computer view screen with the trio taking turns discussing it, which has a nice amount to it now, but adding to it would be too much. My only negative is that I REALLY wish Ducky and Gibbs would show more respect to Palmer, partly for Palmer, but mainly because it is a huge blot on Ducky's and Gibbs' character. When Palmer was a rookie, it was okay, but he's far beyond Rookie now.
