that was the worst thing to happen to television

I actually liked this show. I liked this show a lot. I liked it all the way up until the last fifteen minutes of that show because that epilogue was so atrocious. It wasn't just bad, it rendered the entire series null and void in every single possible way.

Ryan and Kate are good together because they fight for their marriage and even though they're flawed they try hard on their relationship. Ryan gave Kate that speech about how they're a team and they were going to stick with it. I thought that was a pretty moving little speech. Then Kate finds out Julia's pregnant which is another problem they were going to get over because they were a team right? No. Wrong. Their entire relationship, all the best parts and the worst parts were completely erradicated. Why did I watch that whole saga? No, seriously, why? Because it just shows that human beings are so flawed that they can't put aside their differences and be together just because some ex-girlfriend (WHO DIDNT EVEN TELL HIM BY THE WAY? WHAT THE HELL KIND OF PERSON DOES THAT?) was pregnant with his fair headed wonder child. Thanks, Life Unexpected, guess that relationship is doomed from the start. What kind of man would want to marry a barren woman? Ew. Gross. How useless is she, right?

And don't get me started on Baze and Kate getting together. There was absolutely zero chemistry between them toward the end of the show. That didn't even make logical sense. I guess since Kate can only have one kid and that kid was Baze that they must obviously be together.

Lux being valedictorian? Seriously? She came in as a sophomore with failing grades there is no way in a preppy competitive school that you could ever pull your grades up that much? And that speech. Ugh. Ugh. I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Math having a hot girlfriend who was pregnant. Why? Just, why? That was just thrown in there because once again you can only be happy in the world of Life Unexpected if you have a baby? No other way to be happy. The last fifteen minutes of that episode was probably written by Glenn Beck.

I guess I learned today that I will never be happy if for some reason I am unable to have kids. I also learned from this show that I will never be happy if my kids are for some reason- not good looking. I also learned that my husband will probably leave me for his ex because- you know- she's pregnant and I'm not- but that's okay because he will do me the HUGE FAVOR of still hanging out with me and going to my child's graduation. THANKS, DUDE. It's okay though, the father of my child (the person Jesus wants me to be with, right?? Even though he's kind of acts like/looks like ababoon??) will take me back out of the goodness of my heart. Also, my daughter has a football player boyfriend. UGH, THANK GOD, RIGHT? LIFE IS PERFECT, RIGHT?
