The days of country singers and pregnancy scares are now gone for pop star Joe Jonas, of The Jonas Brothers. Several weeks ago, he ended his relationship with Taylor Swift and an internet rumor started last week that the singer was pregnant. BuddyTV was contacted directly by Swift’s publicist to lay that rumor to rest. If the rumor had been true, it would have sent shockwaves through the fans of The Jonas Brothers, as all three brothers wear purity rings to proudly display their virginity and their promise to remain that way until marriage. The breakup was tough on Swift, who opened up about it to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. "It's been tough," she said. "You just have to try to realize someday you'll find someone that's right for you." Joe Jonas, on the other hand, has already moved on and has a new girlfriend.

UPDATE: We were contacted this morning by Taylor Swift's publicist, Paula Erickson, after she read our article. Paula sets the record straight in her email, "I am Taylor Swift's publicist. I see that Kris DeLeon published a story reporting a rumor that Taylor is pregnant. This is absolutely not true. She is NOT pregnant. She has addressed these rumors on her MySpace."
Grammy-nominated country music artist Taylor Swift has been in the spotlight for quite some time now. And with an album coming out next week, it's quite inevitable for some rumors to fly. Several gossip magazines recently reported that Taylor Swift was pregnant.
During a series of interviews promoting her new album, Taylor Swift did not acknowledge the pregnancy rumors, though she did discuss her recently ended relationship with Joe Jonas from the Jonas Brothers. Swift confirmed that Joe Jonas recently ended their brief relationship.

Demi Lovato was just a small time Disney star as the star of the miniseries, As The Bell Rings, in 2007. Just one year later, she became one of the channel’s biggest stars, when she starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock. The film premiered this June and Lovato starred as Mitchie Torres, the love interest of Shane Gray, played by Joe Jonas. Rumors immediately started that the pair were dating and that she was having a feud with another Disney star. After Demi and close pal Selena Gomez put up a YouTube video for fans to check out, Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus and best friend Mandy Jiroux added a video of their own poking fun at them. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lovato did some rumor control, opening up about both Jonas and Cyrus.

The MTV Video Music Awards celebrated their 25th anniversary last night with a stale and generally boring awards show. At this point, it's hard to expect more. Glancing around the internets, the media has seized on one VMA-centric story on this fine Monday morning – the triumphant return of Britney Spears. The world is ecstatic, apparently, that Britney is back. She's back – what exactly does this mean? She won a few dubious awards last night for a video I didn't know existed. She opened the show by reading a teleprompter. Unless I fell into a coma halfway through the show, that was just about it for Britney Spears at the VMAs. Since when does this constitute a triumphant return? Since when did simply displaying the ability to speak in public without embarrassing yourself become a feat worthy of celebration? I'm glad Ms. Spears is lucid, but this is all a bit sad, is it not?

So, The Jonas Brothers are kind of a big deal. Perhaps you already knew this. Up until Sunday, I did not. I knew that Miley Cyrus was a cosmic phenomenon, and that she was currently embroiled in a very important dancing feud (I was informed of this by a person older than me, which was probably depressing for both of us). But, The Jonas Brothers. I really had nothing. I knew about their presence on television, that they starred in Camp Rock, the shoddy knock-off of High School Musical, and that they dressed like kids with really good style if they were only allowed to shop at J.C. Penny. What I didn't know until I attended the tenth annual Teen Choice Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles is that the Jonas Brothers are The Beatles (without the talent). Teenage girls, upon sight of Brothers Jonas, scream uncontrollably. My brain still hurts, both from the screams and my attempts to figure out why some teen sensations become inexplicably popular.

While we all know the Jonas Brothers can make teenage girls scream, little did we know that they can make them scream for nearly two hours straight.
The teenage sensation and stars of the Disney original TV movie Camp Rock, dubbed by fans as the ‘world's hottest boys' had thousands of kids experiencing the biggest night of their summer when the pop-rock trio took the stage at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Tuesday, July 29.
