Big Red Chairs: Maroon 5 Celebrates An Anniversary and Vicci, Jamar and Tony Lucca Tour
Break out the cake and party hats as we celebrate with Maroon 5! Welcome to Big Red Chairs, the blog for all your The Voice needs. This week: Songs About Jane turns 10, Erin Willett has a new song, and Vicci Martinez, Jamar Rogers and Tony Lucca are headed out on tour.

Maroon 5 fans might feel a little old this week, because the band has just released a 10th Anniversary Edition of their debut album Songs About Jane. This version includes a second disc full of demos and some unreleased or harder-to-find tracks (such as "Woman" from the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack), plus video footage from the band's earlier days. It's worth purchasing over again just to see the footage of Adam Levine and his cohorts from a decade ago. You can order your copy using this link.

(Of course, you may feel even older if you remember that before they were Maroon 5, four of the five band members put out their very first album as Kara's Flowers.)

And as if that's not enough, they've partnered with FourSquare to do a neat little promotion where you can check in at a payphone to hear a special message from the band. This Facebook page will tell you more. You just have to find one of the payphones...maybe you should ask Adam, since he seems to know where they are.

This gift from the band comes with a bit of a down note: it's being reported that due to Adam's commitment to The Voice, there will be no US tour dates for Maroon 5 until at least winter 2012. The band's new album, Overexposed, arrives later this month and they have announced South American tour dates, but stateside fans will have to wait.

Still, ten years is pretty darned impressive. Congratulations to everyone who's been a part of Maroon 5 - Adam, James Valentine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, Ryan Dusick, Matt Flynn, and PJ Morton - on your decade of success, and best wishes for a lot more in the future!

New Music: Erin Willett and Jamar Rogers

Tema Blake's Erin Willett dropped me a line this week to let me know she's got a new single out. It's called "Home" and is dedicated to all the fans who supported her on the show, particularly those in her home state of Maryland.

You can download the song by going to this link, where you can name your own price - you can get it for free, or donate. Erin will also be shooting a video for "Home" in the near future, so keep your eyes open for that!

In other news, Team Cee Lo's Jamar Rogers will release his new single on June 19th. It's called "Where Would I Be Without You," and it's written and produced by Jamar and Stephen Petree. I encourage all Team Voice fans to go out and buy the single when it drops - we want to push Jamar as high up those iTunes charts as possible!

This is the same night he'll be appearing at Los Angeles' Viper Room (more on that in a second) and the same date Vicci Martinez's full-length album Vicci arrives. Circle your calendars, fans, it's going to be a big day!
