Veronica Mars may be over but that doesn’t mean that
Kristen Bell’s career is too. The 26-year old actress has several projects lined up, which will hopefully satisfy her fans and supporters.
Bell, a native of Detroit, Michigan, has played the role of
Veronica Mars from 2004 to 2007. Prior to
Veronica Mars, she has appeared on television shows like
Gracie’s Choice and
The King and Queen of Moonlight Bay. She has also worked in many movies like
Spartan, Deepwater, Last Days of America and
Fifty Pills.
This year, Bell will be focusing her energy onto the big screen, having four movie projects slated for 2007 until 2008. She stars in
Flatland: The Movie, an animated film in which she plays the lead character Hex. Directed by Jeffrey Travis, the said movie is based on Edwin Abott’s book entitled
Flatland and features geometric characters living in a two-dimensional world.
Bell also stars in
Fanboys, an adventure comedy-drama about four guys from the Midwest who drive across the country to honor the wish of their dying friend, which is to watch
Star Wars at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch before the movie's worldwide release. Bell plays the role of Zoe and joins other cast members like Jay Baruchel, Dan Fogler, Sam Huntington, and Chris Marquette.
Fanboys is scheduled for release in January 2008.
Another thing to watch out for is Bell’s
Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Bell portrays the lead character Sarah Marshall, a TV star that travels to a resort with her new boyfriend only to find her ex in the same place. The cast also includes Jason Segel as Peter Bretter, Russell Brand as Aldous Snow and Mila Kunis as Rachel.
And last but not the least, Bell stars in the film
Antique, a drama that follows the lives of eight people as they struggle to break away from the pains of their past.
