Anna's V eggs have reached their prime and so has the tension between the Visitors and the Fifth Column. In the final episode of V, Erica tries to come up with a last ditch effort plan to prevent Anna's eggs from hatching. Will she succeed? More on the highlights from the episode "Red Sky" after the jump.
Dinner at the MothershipErica takes advantage of Tyler's relationship with Lisa to come on board the Mothership for a "get to know you better" dinner with Anna. On the surface, it looks like Anna is keen on making Erica one of her allies and is unaware that Erica has one hell of a plan to destroy her.
Lisa Chooses a Side
Though she's a bit hesitant to destroy her kind, Lisa finally makes up her mind and chooses to side with the Fifth Column, or in tonight's case, the humans. She tells Erica where to find the V eggs and gives her some sort of explosive that will freeze the eggs for good. She also helps Joshua escape when the Visitors put him in lockdown. Speaking of Joshua, I can't help but feel the chemistry between him and Lisa as he called her his Queen. But maybe that's just me.
Joshua Dies and Lives
Joshua plays an important role in the Fifth Column's plan by sacrificing himself. He tells Erica to shoot and kill him so the Visitors can put the blame on him and won't suspect anyone else. She reluctantly does, although later, unbeknownst to her, Marcus brings him back to life.
A Tale of Two Traitors
I'm still not sure about Hobbs and Chad when it comes to where their allegiances lie. Hobbs is still the kind of man who sells his loyalty to the highest bidder, and though he creates a diversion to distract Marcus while Anna executes the plan aboard the Mothership, it's pretty clear that Marcus has leverage over Hobbs and may end up working for the Visitors in the long run. Chad, on the other hand, has seemingly had a change of heart after realizing that Anna's been lying to him and seeing first hand what really goes on in the Live Aboard Program.
Valerie Gives BirthThe Visitors manage to track down Valerie just in time so she can give birth aboard the Mothership. Ryan gets hold of this news and comes to her rescue but finds himself in a helpless situation, with all the V army surrounding Anna. Eventually, Valerie serves her purpose on this show--which is to give birth and die, no thanks to Anna giving her a fatal injection. This sends a grieving Ryan right into the arms of Anna, who tries to erase all his pain and suffering with her bliss -- and of course his baby, which has a lizard tail.
Victory and VengeanceAfter 12 episodes of
V, Father Jack finally gathers enough courage to share his thoughts on the Visitors with his church congregation. His speech, though frowned upon by most churchgoers, fits in perfectly with Erica and her team's victorious plan against Vs. At the same time, Anna experiences her first human emotion after discovering what happened to her eggs and swears vengeance on the Fifth Column by launching a sequence that turned the sky red across the planet.
