A new Betty is coming to town and she comes in the form
Betty White. The 85-year-old actress is set to make an appearance on the award-winning series,
Ugly Betty, in the 10th episode of season 2 entitled “Bananas for Betty,” which is expected to air on Thursday, December 6.

America Ferrera as Betty Suarez, a young Latina who lands a job as a personal assistant to Editor-in-chief Daniel Meade (
Eric Mabius) at MODE magazine. Despite sorely lacking in confidence and social skills, she is smart, hardworking and is determined to thrive in the cut-throat world of high fashion. Also featured on the series are

In “Bananas for Betty,” White will play herself in a plot that finds Wilhelmina trying to change her image as the “queen of mean.” However, things go awry when she shoves an older woman, none other than Betty White, in an effort to take the lady's cab away from her.
Best known for her role on
The Golden Girls, White played Rose Nylund, the naïve, simple and arguably the most kind-hearted character on the long-running sitcom. She also starred in its spin-off
The Golden Palace and frequently guest starred on a number of television shows like
Ally McBeal, That ‘70s Show, and
Malcolm in the Middle. Recently, she was cast on
Boston Legal where she played Catherine Piper for 15 episodes and was featured on
The Bold and the Beautiful as Ann Douglas. At present, she is working on the romantic drama film,
Love N' Dancing.
