TBS has decided to bring back the sitcom produced by African-American playwright and actor Tyler Perry called Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.

Tyler Perry's House of Payne is a comedy series that centers on an average African-American household as it deals with multigenerational issues. Featuring themes of love, faith and humor, the show delves into a family’s chaotic living situation as they are forced to live with relatives after an unexpected tragedy.

Leading the cast of Tyler Perry's House of Payne is actor Allen Payne as C.J. Payne, a devoted husband and father of two who is forced to move his family into the home of his aunt and uncle. Payne is best known for his role on The Cosby Show. His other acting credits include The Walking Dead, Vampire in Brooklyn and The Harlem Cowboy.

Playing the role of C.J.’s wife Janine Payne is Demetria McKinney. This actress has worked in theater productions of Why Did I Get Married? and Meet The Browns.

Portraying C.J. and Janine’s mischievous eldest child Malik is actor Larramie Shaw. Shaw is credited for his inclusion in the film Nobody Loves Me.

China McClain stars as Jazmine Payne, the youngest child of C.J. and Janine. Despite McClain’s young age, she has already worked in films like The Gospel and Daddy’s Little Girls.

Playing C.J.’s uncle and boss Curtis “Pops” Payne is actor LaVan Davis. Davis acting credits include Madea Goes to Jail and Why Did I Get Married?

Starring as C.J.’s aunt and Curtis’ religious wife Ella Payne is actress Cassi Davis. She has previously acted in films like Woman Thou Art Loosed, Silent Children, and School Daze.

Last but not the least, actor Lance Gross plays the character Calvin Payne, the only child of Ella and Curtis. Gross has worked with Mariah Carey, Rihanna, and Mary J. Blige. He has also made appearances on shows like Eve and The Bernie Mac Show.
