True Blood got off to a big start for season 4 with one year jump in
time that saw Bill as the new Vampire King of Louisiana and Eric as
Sookie's landlord. In the second episode, Eric will try to convince
Sookie that she should belong to him while Sookie also finds out some
very distressing news about King Bill.
What should Sookie do? Well, it's hard to resist Eric, especially after he makes some very valid points. In this clip, he tries to explain why Sookie needs protection.
In the second clip from the episode, Sookie pays a visit to Bill's house, only to learn that he's now King Bill and he isn't waiting idly by for Sookie to come back to him.
In the final clip, Hoyt confronts protesters outside of Fangtasia and has a religious debate that contains one of my favorite ironic lines of all-time: "I am a Christian, God damn it." There's also plenty of chanting about Steve Newlin, which makes me think we haven't seen the last of him.
The second episode of
True Blood's fourth season, "You Smell Like Dinner," will also find Tara returning to Bon Temps, Sam learning a secret about his shapeshifter gal pal Luna and another very ominous coven meeting with Marnie.
True Blood airs Sunday at 9pm on HBO.
