True Blood fans, mark your calendars! HBO has finally announced the premiere date of the show's third season. On Sunday, June 13 at 9pm ET, True Blood returns with a fresh brood of characters that will surely spice things up in Bon Temps. As reported previously, James Frain, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Alejandro and Brit Morgan will be coming on board, just to name a few.

Hopefully, the new season of True Blood will shed light on several cliffhangers left by the second season finale, including the disappearance of Bill, the nature of Sookie, Sam's quest to find his parents and the direction of Jessica and Hoyt's budding romance.

Spoilers for Season 3

True Blood kicked off with not so stellar numbers in September 2008 but since then, the vampire series has rapidly attracted more viewers, becoming one of the network's most watched series since The Soprano wrapped up.

Though fans will have to wait roughly four months for new episodes, HBO has released a new teaser to hopefully ease the wait. Enjoy!
