Jason Alexander, best known for his role as George Costanza on the hit eponymous series
Seinfeld, will soon be making his way back to primetime comedy. This time, however, he'll be going behind the camera for an episode of
Til Death.
Written and executive-produced by husband-and-wife team Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa,
Til Death stars
Eddie Kaye Thomas and newcomer actress
Kat Foster as newlyweds who move next door to a couple, played by
Brad Garrett and
Joely Fisher, who have been married for more than two decades. The series sheds light on how the newlyweds get a surprising look at what the future might hold.
At present, there is no word yet on the details of Alexander's work on
Til Death. But while his episode plot is engulfed in mystery, it is known that he'll be starting shooting the week of September 19. According to Zap2it.com, the installment will be the new season's sixth, which will most likely put it on track for the November sweeps period.
Til Death is expected to kick off its third season on Wednesday, September 10, giving more focus on characters played by Brad Garrett, Joely Fisher and J.B. Smoove, a slight diversion from its initial story of contrasting new and more seasoned married couples.
This isn't Alexander's first work behind the cameras. Previously, he served as director to shows like
Everybody Hates Chris, Campus Ladies, For Better or Worse and
Seinfeld, the sitcom that catapulted him to national fame. Additionally, he also served as writer to
The Whitey Show.
Most recently, Alexander guest starred in an episode of
The New Adventures of Old Christine, which stars
Seinfeld co-star
Julia Louis-Dreyfus. He has also been cast in two upcoming films such as the family drama
Hachiko: A Dog's Story and the mystery thriller I
dentity, both of which are currently in production.
