According to Soaps.com, the
Young and the Restless actor will be making a guest appearance on yet another CBS hit series. This time, he's gracing the new season of the sitcom
How I Met Your Mother as Robin Charles Scherbatsky Sr., father of
Cobie Smulders' character Robin. In the said episode, Robin will reportedly call her father “Daddy Robin,” as the person she's most hate to run into. And as luck would have it, he suddenly appears.
As of this moment, an exact airdate has not been released so fans will just have to stay tuned to find out.
Braeden is also credited for
The Bold and the Beautiful, Meet the Deedles, Titanic, The Nanny, Diagnosis Murder, Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo, The Judge and Jake Wyler and
Escape from the Planet of the Apes, among others. In addition to
How I Met Your Mother, Braeden has also been cast in the upcoming western drama film
The Man Who Came Back, which also stars Billy Zane, Sean Young, Armand Assante, James Patrick Stuart, and George Kennedy, just to name a few.
Meanwhile, fans can catch Eric Braeden as one of the sternest fathers in daytime television. Most recently on
The Young and the Restless, his character Victor was seen taking an extended leave of absence from Newman and was also withdrawing from public life. Now, he is deemed to be in a bad shape after collapsing and seeing his late ex-wife for Sabrina (Raya Meddine), who appears to Victor as a ghost.
