The Young and the Restless: January 25 Live Thoughts
The Young and the Restless: January 25 Live Thoughts
Today's episode of The Young and the Restless begins right where yesterday's left off.  Cane (Daniel Goddard) had just outed Amber (Adrienne Frantz), and Jill (Jess Walton) rips into her for scamming everyone.  Amber lamely tries to apologize as the reporters dig into her.

At the coffeehouse, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) grandstands to Heather (Vail Bloom) who is there working on her case.  Why don't these people ever work at their offices like normal people?  Recall from yesterday's The Young and the Restless, Michael found an eye witness giving Victor an alibi at the time of the murder.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) are preparing for Reed's arrival home from the hospital.  They set up a crib in Victora's (Amelia Heinle) room.  JT (Thad Luckinbill) and Victor (Eric Braeden) are at the hospital to bring Reed home.  The kid is like 17 kinds of adorable.

Sharon (Sharon Case) wants to speak to Gloria (Judith Chapman) about John's inheritance.  Sharon tries  tactfully and kindly to reason with her about the Abbott mansion, which is their family house.  She begs her not to take away her son's home, but Gloria is a cruel bitch and won't listen.

At home, Jack (Peter Bergman) finds his father's ghost (Jerry Douglas) hanging around.  John asks Jack to sell the house to Gloria.

Michael tells Heather that her witness, the GCAC waitress who allegedly saw Victor at the gym with a bloody towel, deposited a large amount of money shortly after she came forward.  This is obviously news to Heather.

The Jabot executives end their press conference and kick all the reporters out.  Jill and Cane confront Amber for being an attention whore.  Cane is actually pretty kind.  Amber tries to run away, and Katherine goes with her to comfort her.

Nick shares his concerns with Nikki that she may have gotten involved with David too quickly and for the wrong reasons.

Heather's boss is not pleased that Michael found another witness and dug up dirt on their witness.  If she doesn't prove to him in 48 hours that they still have a case, then he's going to pull her off of it.

Gloria and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) are still brainstorming poisons.  She fills him in on her conversation with Sharon as well.

Lily gets chummy some of the other winners.  Cane congratulates her again and kisses her hand.  Jill witnesses their canoodling from across the room.

Jack tells his father that he loves the house and can't give it up, but Sharon walks in and asks who he's talking to.  He admits that he was talking to his father, which Sharon finds endearing.  She tells him that she has decided that she doesn't want to give up the house.  Unfortunately, Gloria gets a call from her lawyer who confirms that the judge agrees with her about the house.  She barges over to the Abbott mansion to tell Jack and Sharon that she's movin' in.

Michael badgers Heather's witness to try to get her to admit that she lied about seeing Victor.  She finally tearfully confesses that she lied to get money for her ailing husband.  She doesn't know who paid her off, however, because it was all done anonymously.  This blows Michael's case wide open.

Jill tells Cane to be careful not to break Lily's heart.  Katherine tells Amber all about her past mistakes with love.  Just as she is telling Amber to be careful, she keels over and faints.

Next on The Young and the Restless: Phyllis and Nick start something new, Heather isn't cowed by Michael, Victoria is still comatose.
