With only a week and change until
The Voice season 2 premieres right after the Super Bowl, today we get to see our second sneak peek of the blind auditions. On Tuesday,
we met Jesse Campbell, a single dad whose soulful voice lured all four judges to hit their buttons before he'd barely uttered three notes.
Today, we get to check out contestant Lindsey Pavao before she pops up
on the second episode (Monday, February 6). Her rendition of the Trey Songz track "Say Aah"
is so unexpected that the judges don't quite know what to make of it at
first. Can her raspy, raw voice get them to hit those buttons and
turn those big red chairs around?
Watch:
I actually thought Adam would be the first to slam that button and snatch up Lindsey's unique talent for himself. That's the fun of the blind auditions, though. There's just no predicting how these four will behave.
So: Will Xtina be able to woo Lindsey her way with their "hair swept to the side" connection? Or will Blake's Fiona Apple comparison (and flattery) prove that he really gets her? Or how about Cee Lo? That bedazzled leather jacket just cannot be denied!
We'll have to wait and see where Lindsey lands. But, whichever judge she ends up with, I can't wait to see how they "play with her." What? It's only weird if you make it weird.
