Recently, we let you in on the scoop with Nicole Steinwedell, the newest recruit of CBS'
The Unit. In fact, based on the comments of our last article, it seems that the viewers like her presence in the show. Steinwedell is a fairly new actress who first appeared on television on the drama
Dawson's Creek. She recalls her stint on the show in a recent conversation with TV Guide, saying, “That was my first job in Hollywood and I had watched
Dawson's Creek in high school, so it was sort of surreal. Joshua [Jackson] was incredibly sweet to me, and very helpful one educating me on how to work with things. I was so new, it was ridiculous — I was such a dork!”
It seems that her dorkiness is now replaced with a brawn that stems from Stenwedell's real life experiences, as she revealed to IGN, “My parents were both in the Marine Corps, my mom outranked my dad, my grandfather was a colonel in the Army.”
Furthermore, she explains that her character is "helping the colonel get the wives settled in a new undercover, and that's going to be a big deal for a while. And then immediate missions will happen, sort of like while they're being moved all of this is going on but then immediate, national threats are going on as well, so there's times I have to go out and be with the boys; there's times that I come back and stay at the command center and keep an eye on everybody at the home fort.”
Steinwedell also adds that after she watched the first episode of
The Unit's new season, she felt a sense of accomplishment for her work on the show. She admits, “It was really cool to watch. It was good to see that your fight or flight kicks in and you just do your job and get it done. And that's why I think they end up letting her stay, just like myself, it's just proving as she goes that she's able to hack it. And it doesn't mean that she's not going to falter and it doesn't mean that she's not new. But it means that she's gonna end up proving her worth.”
The actress reveals that there's more to Bridget than what meets the eye. In fact, she explains, “the writers told that they named my character Bridget because they want her to be a bridge between the men's world and the females' world, instead of scenes about domestic life and then scenes about action with the boys...those worlds actually collide in American society much more often so let's bring it back.”

The Unit tonight as the families are settling into their new lives. Kim and Tiffy get a new job, while Jonas is undercover in Kosovo with Bob, Mack and Bridget. Find out how the team deals with the situation after a deal for plutonium goes awry.
The Unit airs on CBS tonight at 10pm.
