Robert Patrick has been a very busy bee. Not only did he spend the previous year working on the third season of CBS'
The Unit, he also split his time between portraying roles on various film productions.
Coming out in August is the animated movie
Fly Me to the Moon, in which Robert Patrick voices the character Louie. The film revolves around three tween houseflies who become stow aways on the Apollo 11. Other cast members include
Nicollette Sheridan (
Desperate Housewives), Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr., Christopher Lloyd, Tim Curry, Ed Begley, Jr, and Kelly Ripa (
All My Children).

Fly Me to the Moon was written by Domonic Paris and directed by Ben Stassen. The film is set to hit theaters nationwide on August 22.
Patrick can also be seen in the new comedy
Strange Wilderness, scheduled for release on February 1. The movie revolves around a group of friends who head to the Andes in search of Big Foot. Cast members include Justin Long (
Herbie Fully Loaded, Ed, Jeepers Creepers) and Krista Allen (
What About Brian) and
Kevin Alejandro (
Shark).
Other upcoming big screen projects that Robert Patrick has been involved with include
The Black Waters of Echo's Pond, Autopsy, Lonely Street and
Alien Tresspass. All four films are currently in the post-production phase are currently awaiting release.
Another
Unit star who has been working on film productions is
Max Martini, who plays Mack “Dirt Diver” Gerhardt on the show. He is appearing in the upcoming mixed martial arts drama
Redbelt, a film that revolves around Jiu-Jitsu master whose purity is compromised when he joins the movie industry and is manipulated into competing in ultimate fighting matches.
Aside from Martini, who appears in the film as Joe Ryan,
RedBelt also stars Tim Allen (
Home Improvement), Chiwitel Ejiofor, Emily Mortimer and
Joe Mantegna (
Criminal Minds), and mixed martial artists like Randy Couture and Ray Mancini.
Redbelt was written and directed by
The Unit creator David Mamet. Filming has been completed, although Sony Pictures has yet to announce a release date.
