Life at sea seems to be sweeter for
Dylan and
Cole Sprouse. After starring on the hit Disney show
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, the twins have found themselves soaring in yet another series. This time, it's
The Suite Life on Deck, which features the brothers attending school on the S.S. Tipton ship. At a glance, the boys, now at age 16, seem to have outgrown their tricks and antics during their days on the Tipton Hotel.
"I think Disney wanted us to be more responsible on the show and they felt that putting us on a boat would be the best way to do that," Cole said.
"With growing older comes responsibility, [which] if you don't acquire sooner or later, you're gonna be in trouble," Dylan added. "So the new show definitely teaches responsibility. We get jobs, and essentially every single show has a moral."
But older doesn't mean wiser, it just means a little less mischief.
“We're messing with each other a lot. I made Cole believe that there was a fire the other week cause he was sleeping,” Dylan said.
With soaring ratings, it's no surprise that Disney decided to order a 13-episode sophomore season of
The Suite Life on Deck. The show ranks as television's number 2 program among kids 6 to 11 and is number 3 among tweens. It is also the number 3 scripted series across all basic cable in total viewers.
“We're really happy that Disney took as back again. We're honored. Basically what happens is that Zack and Cody now do school abroad. Their mom finally got them enough money with her employee discount to put us in a ship, the SS Tipton. So now we're doing school there and basically learn responsibility,” Dylan said.
To find out more about the Sprouse brothers, catch
The Suite Life on Deck every Friday at 8/7c on the Disney Channel.
