Ashley Tisdale as Maddie Fitzpatrick

Madeline Margaret Genevieve Miranda Catherine Fitzpatrick, or Maddie for short, is played by Ashley Tisdale in the Disney Channel original series, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. A simple girl with a busy schedule, Maddie has a number of jobs, mainly being a candy counter girl at the Tipton Hotel, and a cashier at the Cluck Bucket, manager on the Camp Tipton Daycare Center and a counselor for her school's summer camp program. She used to attend a private school, Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrow, but later moved to Cheevers High School, where her friends London, Zack and his twin brother Cody also study. She is also the closest friend of London, the daughter of the owner of the Tipton Hotel. Because of their very different backgrounds, London usually treats her like a servant, and at times bribes her with money. Despite coming from a lower class family, Maddie is hard-working, outspoken and intelligent. She supports environmental causes and aspires to travel to Paris and enter law school.

As a worker at the Tipton Hotel, Maddie was once mistaken for a rich girl by hotel guest Jason. Maddie initially did not like the idea, but was later persuaded by London to play along and pretend that she was a rich girl. The truth was later uncovered and Maddie apologized to Jason, who kissed her.

London once lent money to Maddie, whose parents were in need. However, London used Maddie's indebtedness to exploit her ruthlessly, despite Maddie being one of London's closest friends. Things turned upside down, though, when Mr. Tipton goes bankrupt and London was forced to stay with Maddie temporarily. It was then when London experienced a simpler way of living.

Maddie has shown great concern for London many times, as she even made London think that she was smarter than Maddie, during a game of chess wherein London kept winning.
