It's the second to the last episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County and I feel like I'm still waiting for something big to happen though I know in the back of my mind that this is as good as it gets. Still, I'm hoping that next week's fifth season ender ironically entitled "Is This All There Is?" will up the ante. For now, here's a rundown of tonight's episode:
Tamra and Simon
I don't know about you but I find it a little difficult to watch this couple on The Real Housewives of Orange County
knowing that their marriage will eventually end in shambles. The sad thing about tonight's episode is that it's Tamra's 42nd birthday, which is supposed to be a romantic and joyous celebration between a husband and a wife, but all we really see are their awkward jabs at each other. Not that I'm on Tamra's side but Simon could at least wait until her birthday's over before telling her that his friends think he should have left her a long time ago. Talk about the perfect birthday present! Lynne and Frank
Nothing much going on here, at least nothing new or out of the ordinary. Frank and Lynne's marriage is still going downhill thanks to their mountainous financial problem. And though I can't really see any real effort in Lynne's part to cut down on expenses, it's nice to know that Frank is still determined to save his marriage. Vicki and Jeana
Karma bites you in the ass when you least expect it and that's what happened to Vicki when she realized how much she's taken for granted her friendship with Jeana. Vicki admits that she misses Jeana and tells her that Tamra doesn't have her back the way Jeana used to. Of course for Jeana, Vicki just got what she deserves since Vicki didn't have Jeana's back at the time she needed her the most. Alexis and Gretchen
Alexis' storyline captures the episode title "This is How We Do it in the O.C." the most out of all the housewives. I'm excited to see her mom especially since the press release described her as a no-frills type of woman but I guess I should have known better not to expect anything to avoid disappointment. She's actually in Orange County to get plastic surgery, which evidently is also a way for Alexis to spend quality time with her sleeping mother. Gretchen, on the other hand, has nothing really going on except for her beauty line which seems to be a flop.
Next week, it's the season finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Be sure to check back for more updates!
